• Beniwal was born on 2 March 1972 in the village of Bargaon in Nagaur district, Rajasthan, to Ram Dev and Mohini Devi.
• He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Rajasthan in 1993.  He has LL.B.  in 1998.
• He is also the former president of Rajasthan University, Jaipur.
• In 2008 he was a BJP candidate and defeated his rival BSP candidate by 24,443 votes.

• He married Kanika Beniwal on 9 December 2009, with whom he has a son and a daughter.

• Prior to his formation of RLP, Beniwal was suspended from the BJP after speaking out against Rajasthan BJP leaders including Vasundhara Raje and Rajendra Rathore.  At a function at Maharani Girls College, Beniwal, he accused Raje of corruption and challenged Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot to take action.
• Beniwal was suspended from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2013 after his remarks about the corruption of BJP leaders and his links with Indian National Congress leaders.
• In 2013, he was an independent candidate and defeated his rival BJP candidate by 23,020 votes. 

• Beniwal accused Cabinet Minister Younus Khan of helping alleged gangster Anandpal Singh escape from police custody as the alleged gangster helped him win the 2013 Assembly elections.  He demanded a CBI inquiry.
• The National Students Union of India (NSUI) staged a protest at the University of Rajasthan in 2015, demanding action against the police for "excessive vandalism".  The agitation came a day after a group of students were detained by police to protest against the attack on Beniwal.The students were organizing a peaceful rally when the police charged.  Several NSUI students were injured.  The NSUI office was raided.  Around 500 students had gathered under the banner of a Kishan Youth Outrage Rally in protest against the alleged attack on Beniwal.The procession turned violent when the police tried to engage them in the campus, resulting in stone pelting by the students.  The police resorted to lathicharge to chase them away. It caused vandalism and chaos, injuring 30 students and 18 policemen.
• On 25 April 2017, Beniwal opposed the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly for charging him well in the Assembly and tearing up his own papers.
• He successfully organized five Kisan Hunkar Maha rallies (Nagaur, Barmer, Bikaner, Sikar, Jaipur) and launched a political organization called Rashtriya Loktantrik Party with the symbol "Bottle" in Jaipur on 29 October 2018.

• Beniwal is a farmer leader in Nagaur and has won the assembly seat for the third time as a candidate of his assembly party RLP.
